Aston Clinton, England: White oval object hovers ahead of Ronald Wildman's car, car slows
At 3:30 a.m. on 9 February 1962, Ronald Wildman, driving through Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, saw a silent white oval object with black vents low over the road; his car slowed to 20 mph as he approached it.
Background
Ronald Wildman was driving a new Vauxhall through Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, when he saw a silent, white, oval-shaped object with black vents spaced at regular intervals around it, about 20–30 feet above the ground and at least 40 feet wide. When he was within 60 feet of it, his car slowed to 20 mph, though his headlights did not fade. The object kept about 20 feet ahead of him for a while, then came lower and a white haze appeared around it. It veered off to the right at terrific speed and vanished, brushing particles of frost from the treetops onto his windshield. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
