Oradell, New Jersey: Several groups see discs, teens see oval object splash into reservoir
On September 15, 1962, between 5:00 and 7:55 p.m., several groups of witnesses saw discs and glowing objects over Oradell, New Jersey; three teenagers saw and heard a bright oval object land in the Oradell Reservoir with a loud splash and climb away silently.

At 5:00 p.m. two bright discs were seen over Oradell, New Jersey. At 6:00 p.m. former Navy flying officer J. J. McVicker saw two discs just across the state line near Oradell. At 7:50 p.m. Victor Cipolla saw a glowing object descend toward Oradell, and two other witnesses saw one round object with a fin on top and another under it darting back and forth near Oradell Reservoir. At 7:55 p.m. three teenagers saw and heard a bright oval object land in the reservoir with a loud splash; a moment later it lifted off and climbed silently at high speed. NICAP's UFO Investigator and Saucer News reported the cases, and the event is listed among the Blue Book unknowns. The account follows the entry in George M.
