St. Charles, Missouri: Bright sphere hovers over trees, sheriff's deputies see it too
At 12:30 a.m. on September 24, 1963, Mrs. James Patterson and two other witnesses near Powell Park in St. Charles, Missouri, saw a bright spherical light hovering over trees.
Background
Mrs. James Patterson and two other witnesses observed a bright spherical light hovering over the trees about 300 feet from her front porch near Powell Park. The light quickly disappeared as it moved away, and sheriff's deputies came to investigate. The deputies saw the light themselves, but it disappeared as they approached. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
