Background

At 1:00 a.m., Leslie Immelman and W. T. Muller were driving about 12 miles north of Parys, South Africa, when they turned back to check something in the road, which appeared to be a large dog. As they turned east again, the whole area lit up so that every boulder and pothole was visible, and a bright object approached at high speed. Thinking it would hit the car, both jumped out, but the object dived over the car, rose 50 feet and hovered for 2 minutes; it was round, about 50 feet across, glowing orange, with a big blue light on one side and a long “fiery tail” emitting electrical sparks, and Immelman heard a low hum. The object shot away to the south, turned east and came back to the car, repeating this 5–6 times before disappearing for good. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
