Background

In the early morning, Don Adams was driving in Edgewood, New Mexico, when his car stalled. He saw a glowing, greenish object about 100 feet overhead. Adams fired six rounds from a .32 pistol at it with no effect and said he could hear the bullets bouncing off. The object then moved silently away to the north. The Santa Fe New Mexican and the Albuquerque Tribune reported the incident on their front pages on 28 April 1964, and NICAP's UFO Investigator and the APRO Bulletin covered it later that year. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
