Lordsburg, New Mexico: Brilliant object sweeps 10 feet over a car, whining sound
At 9:00 p.m. on 22 April 1964, Marie Morrow, Ruth Ovelette and Morrow's son, driving west 10–15 miles east of Lordsburg, New Mexico, saw a brilliantly luminous object sweep about 10 feet above their car.
Background
At 9:00 p.m. Marie Morrow, Ruth Ovelette and Morrow's son were driving west about 10–15 miles east of Lordsburg, New Mexico, when a brilliantly luminous object swept about 10 feet above their car from behind. It lit up the interior of the car and emitted a whirring, whining sound. The object then rose but kept its course along the highway before veering toward the north and vanishing. The Deming Headlight and the APRO Bulletin reported the case in May 1964. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
