Rio Vista, California: Mother and children see large round object on ground pace their car
At 10:15 p.m. on 13 May 1964 Mrs. M. Walter McKarley and her children at Rio Vista, California, saw a large round object apparently resting on the ground; it briefly paced their car and disappeared behind a water tank.
Background
Mrs. M. Walter McKarley and her children saw a large round object appear in their headlights after they pulled into a driveway at Rio Vista, California. It seemed to be resting on the ground about a quarter of a mile away; higher in the sky was a small star-like object, probably Venus. As they drove away, the large object seemed to pace their car for a short time, then moved swiftly to the left and disappeared behind a water tank. Eberhart cites the UFO Investigator (July/August 1964) and Ann Druffel in the MUFON UFO Journal (1984). The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
