Porto, Portugal: Couple sees red hat-shaped object hover near airport, radio disturbed

At 4:30 a.m. Laura de Freitas Machado Fernandes went to the well for water at her home in Porto, Portugal, near Porto Airport, and saw a luminous red object shaped like a cardinal's hat coming from the west at high speed. It stopped and hovered, rocking back and forth, above nearby woods about a quarter-mile away. She warned her husband, Manuel Fernandes, and they noticed that their radio had started making a loud noise. The object's top was orange, with a flickering red light on its brim. After about 3 minutes it left to the north at full speed, and the radio returned to normal. The account follows the entry in George M.
