Garanhuns, Brazil: Farmer sees two objects land, small beings examine a tomato

At 8:30 a.m. farmer Antônio Pau Ferro was working on his farm in São João, near Garanhuns, Pernambuco, Brazil, when he heard a noise and saw two metallic objects descend about 26 feet away. They touched the ground in a uniform motion, let two humanoids about 2.5 feet tall exit, then rose again to 16 feet and hovered. The beings approached Ferro, then moved back toward the objects, picked up a tomato and examined it. The objects descended, enveloped the beings and took off with a whining, then a low sound. The newspaper A Tribuna (Santos) reported the case on 12 September 1965; SBEDV bulletins, Gordon Creighton and Jerome Clark also cover it. The account follows the entry in George M.
