On January 11, 1965 at 16:20, at least 12 people, among them six Army Signal Corps specialists, observed some 12–15 white oval objects from the Munitions Building at 19th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, Washington D.C. They moved irregularly at an altitude of 12,000–15,000 feet over the US Capitol.
Pursuit and Maneuvers
Two delta-wing jets, probably from Andrews AFB in Maryland, chased the objects but could not catch them. The objects outmanoeuvred the aircraft with ease.
Witnesses and Evidence
Named observers were Paul M. Dickey Jr., Edward Shad, Sam Webb, Jack McBride, and Sam Marrone. Radar tracking confirmed their presence. Despite denial by the Department of Defense, the witnesses stood by their account. The Pentagon prevented a television interview.
