On February 25, 1966, at 10:15 p.m., three young women walking along a railroad track in Quipapá, Pernambuco, saw a bowl-shaped object with two headlights, three small humanoids and a tall figure with a glowing head.

At 10:15 p.m. Ofelia Versoa, Maria Marlúce da Silva and Maria Marlucy da Silva were walking home along a railroad track in Quipapá, Pernambuco, Brazil. They noticed lights about 300 feet ahead and, at 150 feet, saw a bowl-shaped object with two large headlights, three small humanoids with large headgear beside it and a motionless figure more than 6 feet tall with a glowing head. Two of the girls ran for cover, while Marlúce moved closer and stayed for 4 minutes until a jeep approaching from the opposite direction let all three slip past. They returned a few minutes later with the da Silva girls' mother and all saw the object flying low above the ground. Marlúce had heightened anxiety and a slight headache the next day.
