On the evening of March 25, 1966, Mrs. R. H. Chappell and her sister Janie Kidd watched two triangular objects with flashing ruby-red lights hover 40–50 feet above the water at Saanich Inlet, British Columbia, before moving off silently.
Background
In the evening Mrs. R. H. Chappell and her sister Janie Kidd watched two triangular objects, one larger than the other, hovering 40–50 feet above the water at Saanich Inlet, British Columbia. The objects had flashing ruby-red lights. After two minutes the lights changed to orange, and the objects moved off silently and gracefully. Around the same time Mrs. L. Austin Wright saw a stationary flashing yellow light. The Saanich Peninsula and Gulf Islands Review reported the sighting on March 30, 1966, and Flying Saucer Review took it up later that year. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
