Rushville, Indiana: Children see bright silver object hover over a tree and jump away
At 7:45 p.m. on August 1, 1966, several children in Rushville, Indiana, including Donna Glosser, saw a round silver object, brighter than the Moon, hover about 75 feet above a tree before darting away.
Background
At 7:45 p.m. on August 1, 1966, several children playing outside in Rushville, Indiana, saw an object hovering about 75 feet above a tree near them. They described it as round, silver, brighter than the Moon and about four times larger than the full Moon, with a fuzzy edge, rocking slightly as it hovered. When Donna Glosser alerted others about half a block away, the object turned reddish-orange, seemed to revolve and moved across a road so fast it seemed to jump, stopping abruptly over trees about a block away. At least one adult watched it for 5 minutes. A group of teens at the Dairy Delight Drive-In about a mile and a half away apparently saw the same object brighten after 45 seconds and speed away. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
