Ipswich, Massachusetts: Couple watches glowing upright cigar and small objects for an hour
At 4:45 a.m. on 17 September 1966, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald MacGilvary watched a glowing, vertically oriented cigar-shaped object at Crane Beach, Ipswich, Massachusetts, for about an hour as smaller glowing objects joined it and flew around the area.
Background
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald MacGilvary saw a glowing cigar-shaped object, oriented vertically and at times tilted, for about an hour near the water's edge at Crane Beach, Ipswich, Massachusetts. Two smaller glowing objects approached it, moving erratically with an up-and-down skipping motion, and joined the larger object; then a third smaller object was seen. The smaller objects periodically left the larger one and flew around the area. One flew low over Ipswich Bay toward the witnesses' home and at closer range showed an elliptical shape lit by a faint glow. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
