Summerside, Prince Edward Island: Eight RCAF airmen see object stop and hover 20 minutes
At 6:30 a.m. on 21 September 1966, eight RCAF airmen refueling an aircraft at Summerside, Prince Edward Island, saw a fast object stop, descend and hover for 20 minutes before shooting up and disappearing.
Background
At 6:30 a.m., eight Royal Canadian Air Force airmen were refueling an aircraft at Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, when they saw an object in the east moving at great speed. The object came to a complete stop, descended and hovered for 20 minutes. It then shot upward and quickly disappeared. At about the same time, fishermen Ivan Collicut and Patrick O'Halloran, out early at Burton, Prince Edward Island, saw a rapidly moving light. NICAP's UFO Investigator reported the sightings in its October/November 1966 issue. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
