Background
On the nights of March 11–13, 1967, red, green and white lights were observed in the air by several witnesses at Tillamook, Oregon, including police and sheriff's deputies. The radar station at Mount Hebo Air Force Station made radar contact in the same area as the visual sightings. The objects were observed for one hour on March 11, again for one hour on March 12 and for four hours and 35 minutes on March 13. The radar returns showed hovering and rapid movement of the targets, and at times the visual sightings also showed rapid movement; one radar sighting showed a distance change from 39 to 48 miles within one minute. The case appears in the Condon Report. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
