Wodonga, Australia: Disc descends near motorcyclist, two helmeted figures emerge
At 5:00 p.m. on August 24, 1967, motorcyclist Ron Hydes near Wodonga, Victoria, saw a lens-shaped domed disc descend nearby and two helmeted humanoids emerge; the object followed him as he fled.
Background
At 5:00 p.m. Ron Hydes was riding his motorcycle near Wodonga, Victoria, when a blinding blue-white light surrounded him and lit up the road. When he stopped, a bright lens-shaped domed disc, an estimated 25–30 feet across, descended to within a few feet of the ground about 100 feet away, and two humanoids about 5–5.5 feet tall in round helmets and silver coveralls emerged. One stepped toward him and he fled; the object, surrounded by a pinkish glow, followed the motorcycle at about 100 feet with a humming sound. When he stopped again it hovered, then after 30 seconds its glow turned brilliant red, it tilted to 45° and shot away. The APRO Bulletin and the Australian Flying Saucer Review reported the case. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
