Shillong, India: Spinning object with red and green lights dips into a stream
On the evening of 13 October 1967, a spinning object with red and green lights was seen streaking over Laitkor village south of Shillong, Meghalaya, India, and seemed to dip into a stream near Dympep village with three explosions.
Background
In the evening a spinning object with red and green lights was seen streaking about 500 feet above Laitkor village, south of Shillong, Meghalaya, India. It seemed to dip into a stream near Dympep village, about 17 miles to the southwest, sucking and churning the water with three explosions. The object then flew to Mawkdok village, 3 miles away, and into the dense vegetation of the Lum Swer forest. Military and government officials later explained the incident as a 'whirlwind of high intensity.' NICAP's UFO Investigator and Flying Saucer Review reported the case. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
