Ririe, Idaho: Small being from hovering craft takes the wheel of two ranch hands' car
On November 2, 1967, at 9:30 p.m., Navajo ranch hands Willie Begay and Guy Tossie, driving on US Highway 26 south of Ririe, Idaho, were stopped by a small domed craft; a small occupant sat behind the wheel and the car moved into a field as if fastened to the craft.
Background
At 9:30 p.m. Navajo ranch hands Willie Begay and Guy Tossie, both 23, were driving south of Ririe, Idaho, on US Highway 26 when a flash of light blinded them and their car came to a stop. In front of them hovered an object 6–8 feet in diameter and 3 feet thick, shaped like two saucers joined together, with alternately flashing orange and green lights around the rim and a transparent dome holding two small entities. One occupant, 3 feet tall and bald with high-set ears, round eyes and a slit mouth, floated out, opened the car door and sat behind the wheel; the car then moved as if fastened to the craft into a field of wheat stubble. Tossie ran to the farmhouse of Willard Hammon for help, followed by a second entity, while Begay stayed in the car with the first entity, which spoke twice in a high, chirruping voice; the entities then returned to the craft, which departed with a yellow flame-like light. Hammon and Tossie found Begay in shock in the car, and at 11:30 p.m. an anonymous driver between Ririe and Rigby reported a landed object with a small occupant who stopped the car and tapped on the side window. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
