Background

At 10:00 p.m. Irena Scott and her sister Sue Postle were traveling west of Boston, Massachusetts, on State Highway 9 when they saw an unusual object to the south. They watched it intermittently after turning south onto State Highway 128 and I-95; it moved in an erratic pattern and blinked. Then they saw a basketball-sized object 20–50 feet away, near the ground, constantly changing colors. Scott pulled over, loaded her camera and took five photos, only one of which shows the light. Eberhart cites Scott's own accounts in the IUR (1988 and 1990) and in her book UFOs and the Millennium (1999). The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
