Sierra Chica, Argentina: Boy says two men by a landed craft hand him an envelope
At 11:25 a.m. on 2 July 1968, 15-year-old Oscar Heriberto Iriart at Sierra Chica, Buenos Aires, Argentina, said two men beside a small silvery three-legged machine gave him an envelope with a message; three holes were later found at the site.
Background
At 11:25 a.m. Oscar Heriberto Iriart, 15, saw two men of normal height with short white hair and red clothes motioning to him at Sierra Chica, Buenos Aires, Argentina; he said he could see the grass through their semi-transparent legs. Near them stood an elliptical, silvery machine about 6.5 feet long and 2 feet high on three legs. The men gave him an envelope they telepathically said contained an important message, told him to dip it in water before reading, and flew off; the envelope and his hands stayed dry after he dipped it in a puddle, and the message in crude Spanish read 'You are going to know the world. F. Saucer.' His horse and dog were reportedly paralyzed for several minutes, and the family found three holes about 5 inches deep forming an isosceles triangle at the site. At 11:15 p.m. five skeptical men from the Sierra Chica Social Club, including Police Sgt. Raúl Coronel, declared the holes fake but then saw a zigzagging light approach a few feet above the ground, pass over them and shoot straight up. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
