During the day several witnesses on the beach at Itaipu, Niterói, Rio de Janeiro state, saw an object descending slowly and emitting beams of light. It made several low-level passes over the beach before landing briefly. Some witnesses said they saw occupants. Flying Saucer Review reported the case in 1971 as a landing on a beach near Rio de Janeiro. The account follows the entry in George M.
