Ste. Anne, Manitoba: Three gray objects emit white substance, fibrous material falls
On September 18, 1968, farmer Marius Magnan at Ste. Anne, Manitoba, saw three gray, football-shaped objects discharging a white substance; afterwards a white, fibrous material settled on foliage, buildings and power lines and was analyzed by the University of Manitoba.
Background
On September 18, 1968, farmer Marius Magnan at Ste. Anne, Manitoba, saw three dull metallic, gray, football-shaped objects at an altitude of 2,500 feet and 2 miles away, traveling northwest to southeast in a vertical orientation at tremendous speed. The objects were discharging a white substance from their upper surface "just like popcorn"; it streamed upward from two of the objects and downward from the third. After they disappeared, a white, fibrous substance fell and settled on foliage, buildings and power lines. The University of Manitoba analyzed a sample and found it "cellulose-like and unstable," with a uniform fiber diameter of 5 microns, probably rayon coated with a gummy substance. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
