Background
At 4:15 p.m. on November 3, 1968, two teenage boys, Robert Hubbard and David Kelley, saw a domed, disc-shaped UFO about 200 feet in diameter discharging angel hair over the Spring Branch West area of Houston, Texas. They watched it for two minutes until it took off as a commercial jet approached. C. E. 'Gene' Senter investigated and recovered a twig with angel hair, which he put in a plastic bag and froze. A chemist analyzed the substance in a petroleum-industry laboratory but learned little beyond that it was sticky and fibrous. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
