Pirassununga, Brazil: Youth meets beings from landed domed disc, struck by flame-like beam
At 7:30 a.m. on 7 February 1969, Tiago Machado, 19, of Pirassununga, São Paulo, Brazil, approached a landed domed disc on three legs and met two beings in silver suits; as they left, one pointed a weapon-like device at him and a flame-like beam hit his thigh.
Background
At 7:30 a.m., Tiago Machado, 19, heard a neighbor shouting about a silvery-blue object landed on a hill on the grounds of the Zootecnica in Pirassununga, São Paulo, Brazil. He fetched binoculars and approached to about 33 feet: a silvery metal disc with a dome, about 13 feet across, standing on three legs. Two men in silver diver's suits floated down from a door and walked toward him making signs, while two more beings stayed inside; according to his account a cigarette pack he tossed floated up to one being's hand and disappeared. When a friend called out, the beings withdrew to the craft, and the last one pointed a kind of weapon at Machado; a flame like a welding arc hit his thigh, and he felt faint and paralyzed as the object took off. His friends found a red swelling on his leg, and investigators later found three imprints about 5 inches across in an equilateral triangle; soil samples showed no radioactivity. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
