๐Ÿ“ Capital city of Arizona and site of one of the most widely witnessed UFO events in history. The Phoenix metropolitan area and surrounding regions were the primary observation zones for the 1997 mass sighting.

Background

Two pilots, Herman Slater and Ben Ripley, were flying a Cessna 150 between Phoenix and Lake Havasu, Arizona, when the pilot in the right seat rose up and saw perhaps two dozen oval white discs to the left of the plane, flying very low in rough formation. Each had the hint of a blister near the front. They moved at 200โ€“300 mph, and their only maneuvers were pitch and roll, performed simultaneously and in unison. Both pilots watched the objects pass below their aircraft and beyond for 20 seconds. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
