Reading, England: Mother and daughters see double-saucer object descend over park

At 7:00 p.m. Gloria Bomford was with her two daughters at a playground in John Rabson Park in Reading when she noticed a distant object that grew larger as it descended steadily toward the park, seemingly to land there. It looked like two saucers joined at the rims and was about 300 feet high and 30–40 feet in diameter. It hovered, and several black, knob-like protuberances emerged on its right-hand side. It then rose vertically, sped up and disappeared. The account was published by Peter J. Wroath in Flying Saucer Review in 1970. The account follows the entry in George M.
