Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: Family and federal policeman see disc on sea with two figures
At 11:40 a.m. on June 27, 1970, Aristeu Machado, his family and federal policeman João Aguiar saw a metallic domed disc resting on the Atlantic off Avenida Niemeyer in Rio de Janeiro, with two humanoid figures on its rim.

Aristeu Machado, his wife Dona Maria Nazaré and their children, together with João Aguiar of the Brazilian Federal Police, saw a metallic, domed disc resting on the surface of the Atlantic less than half a mile off the coast from Avenida Niemeyer. Two humanoid figures stood on its rim. After a while the object skimmed the surface of the water and took off with lights flashing from its underside. Once it was airborne, Nazaré could clearly see the two occupants sitting inside. The account follows the entry in George M.
