Background

At 9:00 p.m. Albert Formiller was fishing for bass in Cholla Bay, Sonora, Mexico, when he saw a light in the sky coming from a saucer-shaped object, which stopped and hovered about 200–300 feet above the surface. A light from a tube on its underside illuminated a stretch of water about half a mile wide and changed from a broad floodlight to a sharp spot, apparently as it was raised or lowered. After a few minutes a cloud formed around the object; after 5 minutes the searchlight was turned off and a similar light appeared on top of the object, illuminating the upper part of the cloud. The object then moved west and was visible for 20 minutes in all. The case was described by Carl W. Feindt in the International UFO Reporter in 2010. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
