Background

At 7:00 p.m. Juan Rodríguez Domínguez, 82, known as Juan el de la Palmareña, was in his hut on the Los Lunarejos farm just over a mile from Aznalcóllar, Seville, when he saw a bus-sized object land near an abandoned well 1,000 feet away. More than 50 'soldiers' in blue 'uniforms' emerged and marched in formation into a hollow in the field, where they were lost to view; five or six 'chiefs' remained on a slope staring in his direction and twice shone a light at him. Frightened, he fled to Aznalcóllar to inform his employers, who did not take him seriously. He later insisted that the object and the 'soldiers' had left marks in the ground, but police did not follow up. Ignacio Darnaude published the case in Flying Saucer Review in 1974. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
