Vila Velha, Brazil: Glowing hot orange ring hovers over radio mast, antenna found cut
At midnight on 3 February 1973, Samuel Faria in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, Brazil, heard chirping and voices, saw a luminous, intensely hot orange ring hover above his uncle's radio mast, and afterwards the antenna was found cleanly severed.
Background
At midnight Samuel Faria was reading at his home in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, Brazil, when he heard a strange chirping sound from the garden; with his aunt, Mrs. De Souza, he saw a yellowish light close to the house and several points of light about 20 feet above the ground, and they heard voices. After a knock at the door, Faria stepped into the garden and saw a luminous, orange-colored ring about 6.5 feet across hovering about 65 feet above his uncle's radio ham mast, lighting the garden like midday and giving off heat like a furnace. He ran back inside and saw what looked like smoke drifting toward the Penha Convent about 500 feet away. When a neighbor came and they inspected the garden, the object was gone, but the radio antenna was severed cleanly, as if cut with scissors. Faria later reported a second encounter involving an attempted abduction on 11 March 1973 and a third encounter with a humanoid in May 1974. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
