Background
Jean Coleman and Cathy Leach were driving across the dam at Clearwater Lake, Missouri, when an object with a reddish glow surfaced from the lake. It was disc-shaped and rose silently while its red, white and yellow lights blinked in sequence, then disappeared over a mountaintop. Ken Johnson of the Piedmont Boat Dock corroborated the story, and nearby campers also saw a bright light moving under the surface of the lake. On a later evening at 9:00 p.m. the two women saw a flashing red light rise out of the lake.
