Cazalla de la Sierra, Spain: Four yellow lights pursue driver, engine fails, burn marks
At 10:00 p.m. on 22 April 1973, Antonio Pérez Cumbre, 19, driving on the A-432 north of Cazalla de la Sierra, Seville, Spain, saw a row of four round yellow lights that passed him silently, stalled his SEAT 600 and reappeared above the road; two burn marks were later found.
Background
At 10:00 p.m., Antonio Pérez Cumbre, 19, was driving on the A-432 north of Cazalla de la Sierra, Seville, Spain, when he saw a row of four round yellow lights across a ravine about 980 feet ahead, the two on the left about twice the size of the others. When he flashed his headlights, one of the larger lights produced a bright violet stripe; he turned to flee, but the lights silently passed him on the left and the motor of his SEAT 600 failed until they were gone. Later he saw the lights hovering 33 feet above the road and drove under them, and later still found them only 3 feet above the road, where his headlights seemed to be absorbed. He accelerated to ram them, but at about 80 feet the object moved rapidly away across the valley to the east-northeast. A couple of days later two yellow burn marks 30 feet apart were found where the lights were first seen. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
