Eduardo Calle was driving along a country road near Orense, Buenos Aires province, Argentina, when his engine failed. He got out to inspect it and saw a bright round object rise up from a nearby field and vanish at immense speed. Police found a round hole and scorched grass in the field. Fungi of an unfamiliar species were beginning to grow on the spot. The case was reported by La Crónica of Buenos Aires in June 1973 and in a round-up of cases from the Tres Arroyos area in Flying Saucer Review. The account follows the entry in George M.
