Background
At 2:00 a.m. Jill Cotmore woke up in her home near Tyringham, New South Wales, with an uneasy feeling. When she lit a cigarette, the room was immediately engulfed in a bright light, even though the windows had heavy curtains; it was so bright that she could not see a cupboard 3 feet away. Outside, her horse was going berserk, and then the light was suddenly gone. The next day she found the horse frothing; it had apparently been running around the house during the night. The incident took place in the middle of a concentration of UFO reports in the area. Eberhart cites Bill Chalker's "An Australian Chronicle, Part Two" in the APRO Bulletin (June 1976). The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
