Hokkaido, Japan: Security guard sees object suck up seawater, occupants at windows
One night in July 1973, a college student working as a security guard on Hokkaido, Japan, saw a shining object descend over a bay and suck up water through a pipelike protrusion, then approach to within 160 feet showing three occupants in its windows.
Background
At night a college student working as a security guard on the island of Hokkaido, Japan, noticed a brightly shining object to the north. It vanished and reappeared in a different spot, flashing a green light, then spiralled downward and flew in an arc down over the waters of a bay, where it sucked up water through a long, pipelike protrusion. It then flew to within 160 feet of the witness, who saw the shadows of three occupants in two windows. Four or five similar objects arrived, and all entered a larger black craft, which flew away to the north. Jun-Ichi Takanashi reported the case in Flying Saucer Review in 1975. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
