Background

At 10:30 p.m., three people sitting in their front yard in West Seneca, New York, heard a low hum from an object above their garage: a silvery half-egg with glowing orange-and-blue overtones. It began a slow descent toward the roof, and when it was only 5 feet away, one witness yelled for it to stop; it stopped, hovered briefly and shot straight up. Two days later, at about the same time, one of the witnesses heard the same hum and saw the object move down the street only 3–4 feet above the pavement, as wide as the road. It stopped at the end of his driveway, and he got within 4–5 feet without feeling any heat; when his dog barked he backed away, and the object moved 20 feet down the street, rose and vanished at a 45° angle. Michael D. Swords described the case from the Timmerman files in the IUR in 2002. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
