Armidale, New South Wales: Student sees cigar-shaped object rise, rotate and shoot off
In October 1973 University of New England student Graham E., driving home near Armidale, New South Wales, saw a cigar-shaped object float up ahead of him by the university's ionosphere research receiver, rotate four times and shoot off.
Background
University of New England student Graham E. was driving home from his cleaning job in Armidale along the Bundurra Road and turned onto the road to the Mount Butler property where he lived. As he passed the university's ionosphere research receiver, he saw a cigar-shaped object float up directly ahead of him at a tilted angle. He stopped the car and watched it for 10 to 15 seconds. The object then rotated four times and shot off at an oblique angle. Bill Chalker recounted the case in 2023. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
