Saint-Mathias, Quebec: Witnesses see two yellow objects and five small figures in field
On October 6, 1973, a woman and two workmen at Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, saw a tent-like and a bulldozer-like yellow object and five small helmeted figures in a field; burned, crushed grass and track marks were found.
Background
At 12:45 a.m. a couple walking along a country road near Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, saw a bright, projector-like light coming from a nearby field. At 11:30 a.m. the woman, hanging laundry in her backyard, noticed a column of smoke rising from fields to the north; with two workmen repairing her home she saw a yellowish tent-like object near the smoke, from which a square yellow object resembling a bulldozer emerged and travelled about 180 feet to a small spring. Between the two objects five "little people" about 4 feet tall, wearing helmets and clothing of the same colour as the tent, moved about the field; the witnesses first took them for boy scouts and went back to work, and 20 minutes later objects and figures were gone. The couple's daughter, checking the spot half an hour later, found a circular patch of burned and crushed grass about 45 feet across and two track-like marks about 6 inches wide, and afterwards felt ill with headache and nausea. UFO investigators who arrived a month later found additional marks in the shape of a triangle. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
