Boshkung Lake, Ontario: Crowd of 50 watches UFOs, armed snowmobilers fire rifles at them
At 10:00 p.m. on 23 March 1974, a crowd of 50 gathered on the shore of Boshkung Lake, Ontario, watched approaching UFOs while an armed squad of six snowmobiles pursued them on the ice and fired high-powered rifles at them.
Background
At 10:00 p.m. a crowd of 50, including Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Lunham, gathered along the shore of Boshkung Lake, Ontario, to look for UFOs. A six-unit armed snowmobile squad pursued the approaching UFOs on the ice. Concerned about the nature of the objects, the snowmobilers fired high-powered rifles at them. Mrs. Lunham described hearing a distant clunk as the bullets struck what sounded like metal surfaces. The Minden Progress reported the shooting on 28 March 1974, and Curt Sutherly wrote about the events in Fate in 1977. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
