Puerto Rico: Farm animals found dead with strange wounds as UFOs are reported
From February 1975, domestic birds and livestock were found dead throughout Puerto Rico with what a veterinarian called “strange wounds,” while through July some Puerto Ricans reported large unidentified birds and UFOs.
Background
Beginning in February 1975, domestic birds, ducks, goats, rabbits, geese, cattle, pigs and sheep were found dead throughout Puerto Rico. One veterinarian described them as having “strange wounds.” The deaths typically occurred in the early morning hours and were caused by a sharp instrument that could punch through flesh and bone, usually in the neck region. Around this time and through July, some Puerto Ricans reported seeing large, unidentified birds as well as UFOs. The case was documented by Sebastián Robiou Lamarche in Flying Saucer Review in 1977. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
