Chatuzange-le-Goubet, France: Car stalls near orange dome, driver later recalls abduction
At 1:15 a.m. on 11 June 1976, Hélène Guiliana's car stalled near the Pont du Martinet in Chatuzange-le-Goubet, Drôme, as an orange dome-shaped light appeared; she arrived home at 4:00 a.m. and under hypnosis later described being examined by small beings.
Background
At 1:15 a.m., Hélène Guiliana was driving through Chatuzange-le-Goubet, Drôme, France, when her car engine misfired and stalled and the headlights went out; about 80 feet away near the Pont du Martinet bridge she saw an orange light in the form of a 'dome.' Frightened, she covered her face with her hands, and after what seemed a few seconds the light disappeared. Driving home upset, she missed a familiar sign, went a mile out of her way and arrived home at 4:00 a.m. Under hypnosis on 22 July (repeated on 18 August) she told of two waist-high small men with large eyes in black overalls who carried her into the light through an iron door, placed her on a table in a high round room with handcuffs on her hands and feet and examined her. Afterward she was returned outside and the craft departed straight up without a sound. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
