Background

At 4:00 p.m. three men, Nicholas Flaskas, Frank Zonaras and Bill Zonaras, were waiting to film a solar eclipse at Taola Point in Ben Boyd National Park, New South Wales, when they noticed two unusual objects on the horizon close to the ocean. The objects alternately moved toward and away from them. The men took motion pictures and still photos showing one bell-shaped and one discoid object. They turned their attention to the eclipse, and when it was over the objects were gone. Eberhart cites David Reneke's evaluation of the Benboyd UFO movie in UFO Research Australia (1980) and a review of Australian ufology in JUFOS (1990). The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
