Arjuna Oil Field, Java Sea: Tanker crews see moon-sized object circle the field twice
At 7:40 p.m. on March 10, 1977, ten crew members of two oil tankers anchored at the Arjuna Oil Field in the Java Sea, Indonesia, saw a dark object the apparent size of the full moon with a red center light circle the offshore field twice at about 1,000 feet and speed off east.
Background
At 7:40 p.m. ten crew members of two oil tankers anchored one mile apart at the Arjuna Oil Field in the Java Sea saw an object the apparent size of the full moon. It was mainly dark, with a red light in the middle, and emitted beams of yellowish-white light in two directions. It was only about 1,000 feet above the water. Coming from the west, it circled the offshore oil field twice and sped off to the east after 5 minutes. Eberhart cites the International UFO Reporter (February 1978).
