DeRuyter, New York: Mother and children drive beneath a hovering 40-foot lighted object

At 10:40 p.m. a woman driving her three young children south on the west side of DeRuyter, New York, found herself overtaking and driving underneath a 35- to 40-foot object hovering 30 feet above the maple trees. The object had three outer red and blue lights and two rows of sequential red lights on the center of its underside. One mile away, two other witnesses went in search of a red glow but could not overtake it. The account follows the entry in George M.
