Background
At 12:15 p.m. a dredge master and four crew members saw an object that remained visible for one minute off the northwest coast of Wowoni Island, Sulawesi, Indonesia. It consisted of a cone of translucent material with dark spots and emitted violet, white and red light from its top. It moved forward with an undulating motion against the wind and spun on its axis at an altitude of about 9,000 feet. The International UFO Reporter reported the case in its "Foreign Forum" in February 1978. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
