Uccle, Belgium: Family and other residents watch bright red stationary light for an hour
On 17 October 1977, a woman and her children in Uccle, Belgium, watched a blindingly bright, silent red light hover in the southwest for an hour; independent witnesses several streets away also saw it, and later two similar objects and another light appeared.
Background
A woman and her children watched a blindingly bright red light from their first-floor porch in Uccle, Belgium. It was stationary and silent for one hour in the southwest at an estimated 1,000 feet, then moved west, then north, and disappeared in the distance. An independent group of witnesses several streets away also watched the light. Half an hour later the daughter saw a pair of similar objects in the south about 400–500 feet up, which circled for 30 minutes and then disappeared to the south. One hour later the family watched another bright light maneuvering in the southwest before it disappeared. The report appeared in the "Foreign Forum" of the International UFO Reporter in March 1978. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
