Austin, Texas: Researcher Ray Stanford sees gray object change shape and vanish
At 4:31 p.m. on 10 November 1977, UFO researcher Ray Stanford, walking his dog in Austin, Texas, saw a stationary metallic gray object in the southwestern sky elongate, rotate and take the shape of a Coke bottle before disappearing.
Background
At 4:31 p.m., UFO researcher Ray Stanford was walking his dog in Austin, Texas, when he saw a stationary, metallic gray object in the southwestern sky. Its smaller end was at the top, and the larger lower end seemed to vibrate slightly. After several seconds it seemed to elongate and rotate; after another 10 seconds it took the shape of a Coke bottle, then quickly disappeared. Stanford described the sighting in a letter to the International UFO Reporter in 1982. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
