Background

A 31-year-old paramedic was driving in Chicago, Illinois, to pick up her husband, a policeman, from work when her three-year-old son drew her attention to a “moving star” nearly overhead. At her destination a few seconds later she saw a silver disc-shaped object, “with teacups on top and bottom of saucer,” as large as a full moon, moving forward with a yellow-orange trail. The object stopped, reversed direction, moved forward again and passed behind a building; the trail was visible only while it moved. The sighting lasted one to two minutes. Eberhart cites case 3-2-39 in the International UFO Reporter 3/2 (1978). The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
