Background
In May 1978, Red Army officer Anatoly Malishev was allegedly confronted near Pirogovskoye Reservoir, Mytishchinsky District, north of Moscow, by two entities in dark suits who communicated with him by telepathy and took him on board their craft. According to his account he was given a salty-tasting drink, and when he asked for an alcoholic drink the entities said they did not drink alcohol. He said they took him to the far side of the Moon, where they had a base, and to their home planet 3 light years away and back to Earth, all within about 40 minutes. Malishev reported the experience to his superior officers, who threatened a court martial. He was subjected to hypnosis, passed a lie detector test and apparently did not go through a trial. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
